The 2025 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards
We got an award at the 2025 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Los Angeles — BAND4BAND was honored as one of the best performing songs worldwide. Writing that sentence still feels unreal.
Back to LA
After our RapTV interview, me and Ghana Beats packed our bags again and traveled to Los Angeles for a few days. Last time we were in LA it was all about press for the release. This time we flew out for something different: ASCAP invited us to the Rhythm & Soul Music Awards to honor BAND4BAND.
Award Day
Right when we arrived at the venue, ASCAP had our medals ready — engraved and honored with our names. This was right before we took our press pictures, and seeing "GEENARO" and "GHANA BEATS" printed next to those medals was a moment we will never forget.

Then it was time for the press wall. Medals on, cameras flashing — two producers from Germany standing on an ASCAP carpet in Los Angeles.

Same carpet that day: Cardi B was honored with the Voice of the Culture Award — well deserved. Sharing a press wall with names like that says a lot about the company BAND4BAND is keeping right now.

On stage we received our plaques for BAND4BAND by Central Cee and Lil Baby — awarded among the most performed songs of the year. The same record that hit the Billboard Hot 100 now has an ASCAP award behind it.

Our Names Next to the Big Ones
One of the coolest moments of the whole trip: walking past the honorees board and seeing our names listed as the writers of BAND4BAND — right between Doja Cat's Agora Hills and Carnival by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, surrounded by the biggest records of the year. No asterisk, no side note — our record standing in that list on equal footing, exactly where it belongs.

Meeting BNYX
During the trip we also connected with BNYX — the producer behind records for Yeat, Drake and Travis Scott. We talked production, traded ideas and compared how we approach records. Mutual respect, real conversations — we are staying in touch.

The Aftershow
The night ended at the aftershow party, where we met a lot of cool artists and just enjoyed the moment. No stress, no deadlines — just music people celebrating music.

We are beyond grateful for what happened and for how great BAND4BAND performed around the world. From a studio session in Gelsenkirchen to an ASCAP award in Los Angeles — this journey keeps getting crazier. Thank you to ASCAP, to Central Cee and Lil Baby, and to everyone who streamed the song. You can find all our releases on the discography page. The best is yet to come.
